Scope of Work: Kenmar General Contracting, LLC was contracted to provide Design-Build services for the complete renovation and repair of the 100 seat Command Theatre. The overall objectives were to perfect the acoustics in the room while modernizing and repairing the structure, the mechanical and electrical systems and the finishes. Kenmar self-performed 27% of the contract including Project Management, CQC Management & Safety Management, Framing, STC 45 Door Installation, Trim Carpentry, Drywall Repair & Paint. Key subcontractors included Acoustic Engineering & Architecture, Custom Acoustic Trim, HVAC, Electrical, Drywall, Flooring, Acoustic Ceiling and Theatre Seating Replacement and Installation.

Window and Door Replacement

Scope of Work: Kenmar General Contracting, LLC was contracted to provide window and sliding glass door replacements in 88 occupied Navy housing units. The overall objectives were to remove the existing windows and sliding glass doors which included Asbestos Abatement and EPA Lead Safe practices and replace them with new impact rated windows and French doors with sidelights. Kenmar self-performed 100% of the contract including Project Management, Superintendence, Safety and CQC Management, Asbestos Abatement and Demolition, Framing, Installation of Windows, Doors and Sidelights, Masonry Repair, Drywall Repair and Paint. Over 800 impact rated windows, impact rated 88 doors and 176 impact rated sidelights were installed.

Noise Mitigation Program

Scope of Work: Kenmar General Contracting, LLC was contracted to renovate 75 privately owned and occupied residences of various types and sizes surrounding the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The overall objective of the Residential Sound Insulation Program is to achieve quantitative noise reductions in selected homes most affected by the aircraft operations to noise insulation decibel requirements. Kenmar self performed 91% of the work which included all windows, doors, storm doors, architectural and mechanical – all scopes with the exception of electrical. This project included replacing 300 doors, and 700 windows as well as heating-ventilation-air conditioning.

Wesley House Family Services Headquarters Renovation

Scope of Work: Kenmar General Contracting, LLC was contracted for this Design-Build Multi-Story Renovation in the Historic District of Key West. Wesley House is one of only 1,300 social service organizations accredited by the prestigious International Council on Accreditation (COA). The 9,000 SF design-build renovations include re-designing the reception/lobby area, new storefront at the Main Entrance, mezzanine for storage, enclosed offices as well as Systems Offices for 45 employees, renovated conference rooms and restrooms, new carpet, paint, furniture and lighting, new interior doors for the offices , new drywall, new electrical for the new construction, retrofit the mechanical, new acoustic ceilings, new upper and lower tie beams, and a new 5,000 SF parking lot, all to current ADA Life Safety & Building Codes.

Design/Build Exterior Hospital Renovations

Scope of Work:
Kenmar General Contracting, LLC along with L.C. Gaskins Construction Company, Inc. was contracted for Design/build renovations to the exterior of the Naval Hospital, NAS, Key West, FL. The project includes exterior envelope repairs to the existing Key West medical facility including repairs to exterior stucco, soffits, gutters and downspouts, fascias, roof flashings and coatings, glazed entry curtain wall, re-glazing all windows, and exposed architectural wood timbers. Integrate sustainable strategies and features into the design to minimize the energy consumption of the facilities; conserve resources; minimize adverse effects to the environment; and improve occupant productivity, health, and comfort to reduce the total cost of ownership of the project using a whole building, life-cycle approach. The design and construction shall incorporate sustainable design strategies and features to the fullest extent possible, consistent with mission, budget and client requirements. This work included the Main Hospital, Energy Building and recoating the Historic Front Entrance element. Exterior repairs were accomplished on this operational medical facility. The facility remained open and required detailed coordination with the Contracting Officer and Medical staff to accomplish repairs while maintaining access to the site and facilities

Scope of Work: Kenmar General Contracting, LLC was contracted for design/build renovation services on this 20,000 square foot main gymnasium for NAS Key West, Boca Chica. The scope of work included the fitness area, gymnasium area, and locker room area. The gymnasium included a 7,200 square foot basketball court which was sanded, repaired, re-striped, and re-coated with 2-coats of clear polyurethane.
